Michael Sinel, M.D. Appointed
as Medical Director to Continuing Fitness

June 15, 2007 – Continuing Fitness announced today the appointment of Michael S. Sinel, M.D. as the company’s medical director. Dr. Sinel will oversee the creation of a Continuing Fitness medical advisory board and will create medical protocols for physical therapists and medical practitioners to show how to use Continuing Fitness products for rehabilitation.

Dr. Sinel is a nationally recognized expert in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He has authored several scientific publications and two popular books on back pain, including “Win the Battle Against Back Pain: An Integrated Mind-Body Approach”. He serves as Assistant Clinical Professor within the Department of Medicine at UCLA, and teaches in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Administration Medical Center. He also currently maintains a private practice in Santa Monica, California.

“I am thrilled to join Continuing Fitness as Medical Director with the opportunity to address the rehabilitation needs of the senior population with innovative products,” says Dr. Sinel. “I find the resistance chair to be one of the most user-friendly, versatile and exciting rehabilitation products that I have ever seen for seniors. It has the potential to be used at home as a comprehensive conditioning program after completing rehabilitation in a physical therapy practice. As Medical Director I look forward to demonstrating the extensive rehabilitative benefits of the resistance chair and other soon-to-be released innovative products.”

A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Dr. Sinel earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York Hospital -Cornell University Medical Center and the Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Institute. After his residency, he was appointed Director of Physical Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

“This is an important step for our company as we develop new products geared specifically toward fitness and rehab for mature adults,” adds company president John Bowser. “As we develop medical protocols for our new products, Dr. Sinel’s advice and experience will play a crucial part in maintaining our company as a leader in the emerging field of senior wellness.”
