LAKE FOREST, Calif. – Continuing Fitness, one of the first fitness brands to launch a complete line of equipment and accessories designed specifically for mature adults, debuted its Resistance Chair™ Exercise System on QVC during the ninth stop of the Decade of Discoveries Tour on Friday, September 2, 2005. Broadcasting live from Amara Creekside Resort in Sedona, Arizona, QVC featured the Resistance Chair™ among 9 other presenters. John Bowser’s product was chosen from more than 3,000 products submitted to QVC earlier this year.
“The Resistance Chair Exercise System has been a tremendous labor of love for our development team over the past two years and to be given the opportunity to introduce its benefits to millions of viewers is extraordinary,” said John Bowser, CEO of Continuing Fitness, Inc. “This product can help mature adults help increase their physical activity, strength and stamina and, in turn, can help older Americans live longer, healthier lives.”
A full body workout system, the Resistance Chair™ is uniquely engineered to address the exercise needs of mature adults seeking to balance a healthy lifestyle with a safe exercise routine. Maintaining balance and stability from a seated position, the Resistance Chair™ system helps users tone and strengthen their arms, chest, shoulders, abdomen, back and legs.
Continuing Fitness products are all designed to provide low-impact methods to help mature adults build and maintain strength, endurance, flexibility and balance. Used in gyms, healthcare facilities or in the home, they can easily be adapted for established senior fitness programs that offer exercise routines but lack standardized equipment for mature adult clientele.
The Decade of Discoveries Tour began in Philadelphia on July 8 and continues for nine consecutive weeks at other scenic destinations across the country. Broadcast live and on location to more than 87 million homes each Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, QVC will introduce 10 new products at every tour stop.
